Daily Bulletin: Friday, June 22, 2018 – WEEK 1

Word of the Week: Respite (noun): A period of rest or relief. The summer provides a respite from the responsibilities of school.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: This is a reminder to all students about the MMS cell phone policy. As you know, the school has a NO cell phone policy. Starting immediately, we will be reminding you of this policy and enforcing it each day. This means that as soon as you enter the building until the end of the school day, all phones must be off and put away. If a staff member sees it or hears it at any point, it will be taken away and brought to the main office. After the first incident, a parent must come to pick it up. The use of cell phones, for conversations, texting purposes, or picture/video-taking is prohibited. Students are expected to keep cell phones off and in their lockers during instructional time. Students who need to call their parents or guardians during the school day should do so in the Main Office. Thank you.

It is mandatory that ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BE CARRYING THEIR CHROMEBOOKS ONLY IN THE DISTRICT PROVIDED CASES. IF YOU ARE DROPPING OFF A DAMAGED CHROMEBOOK, IT MUST BE IN A CASE.

Attention all students: No students may use either staircase in the 5th/6th grade wing. You must use the middle stairs or the stairs by the science room. Do not take any stairs that lead to the 5th grade wing. Only 5th graders should be in the 5th grade wing.

Attention all students: Any kind of slime or goo is NOT allowed in school. Please do not bring it in to use or sell. If you are found with it, you will be sent to the office for consequences.

During the school day, the gymnasium is a classroom and it is off limits, please do not cut through the gym or use it for a shortcut. Thank you.

Attention all students: Please DO NOT exit through doors that are alarmed and/or labeled "DO NOT EXIT." If you are caught exiting through these doors, you will face disciplinary consequences.

Any student interested in taking a technology summer camp that revolves around engineering, go see Mr. Norton in room 172 or Mr. Cava in room 176. There are camps for all grade levels, including incoming high school students.

The Parent/Student Portal will be open this afternnoon.

If anyone would like to donate their moving up gowns to the school, please bring them in to the main office. Thank you!

Any 7th or 8th grade student who has not picked up their sewing project from Mrs. Bunster or Mrs. Purrman should do so today.

There is a table in the lobby with lost and found items. Please check to see if anything is yours. All items will be donated after Friday.

Have a great summer!
