Sra. Patricia Floe
Patricia Floe was born and raised in Temuco, a city in southern Chile, where she went to school and graduated with a BA as a teacher of English as a foreign language from the prestigious Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. She worked as a foreign English teacher in different parts of Chile from k- 12, including one year to college students who were training to become teachers of English as well. Patricia came to Minnesota as an exchange Fulbright Spanish teacher to Chaska, MN in 2005-06. It was one of the best years of her life, because not only she had a marvelous experience as a Spanish teacher to English speaking students but she also met her husband. In 2009, She permanently moved to Minnesota. Patricia started working as a reserve teacher at ISLA and other Spanish Immersion schools in Minnetonka. She loved the idea of continuing teaching at elementary level. She then attended Augsburg College to pursue a Minnesota teaching license because Patricia realized her passion for teaching her native language in an immersion setting where she could also teach about her culture. She feels very fortunate to be part of the ISLA team. She enjoys Minnesota and loves exploring the lakes, parks, bike riding, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.
