G6-8

GRADE 6-8

When the campus is temporarily closed ISH teachers continue to provide learning materials and activities that maintain the ISH planned curriculum. Learning continues to emphasize interaction, inquiry, response, practice and creativity.

Continuous Learning provides experiences that are aligned with the curriculum. The key concepts, competencies , and character learning goals are addressed. Assessments follow a similar timeline as when on-campus learning is in session, though they may be approached in different ways.

Our Approach

  • Learning materials are shared via Google Classroom.

  • Learning activities are engaging, inquiry-based explorations.

  • Learning activities may be completed:

    1. independently online

    2. collaboratively online, via chat, video conference or other collaborative tools

  • Learning activities have a number of purposes:

    1. allow students to engage with new learning

    2. practice, discuss or apply learning

    3. demonstrate knowledge and skills in relation to learning

  • Learning connects to current units and curriculum.

  • Assessment tasks enable student to demonstrate their understanding.
