Community Representatives

Our community is the beating heart of ISHCMC and it is our people that make us so unique.

In addition to the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), there are many more opportunities for parents to participate in school life and build Rhino spirit! These roles look different across the school and are flexible to suit you.

Class Representatives

Every class in Primary and Secondary school will have a class representative who works in collaboration with their child's class teacher, other parents of the class, the PTO and school leadership teams to promote relationships, engagement and community.

Typical responsibilities of a Class Representative include:

  • Leading and monitoring the Class WhatsApp group chat

  • Coordinating class or grade level events between parents - teachers - school

  • Collaborating with the School

Cultural Representatives

With 60+ nationalities represented by students and staff at ISHCMC, we take pride in the truly international environment ISHCMC offers our community. To support ISHCMC in achieving its Mission and Vision, Cultural Representatives play a key role in nurturing cultural learning opportunities.

Typical responsibilities of a Cultural Representative include:

  • Leading and monitoring your culture's WhatsApp group chat

  • Coordinating cultural events between parents - teachers - school

  • Representing your culture at schoolwide events, planning and community initiatives

How to get involved?

Nominations for Class and Cultural Representative positions are requested during the first few weeks of school. Please keep an eye out and regularly check the ISHCMC Rhino Hub notices for any recent updates.
