Below are a number of learning and teaching tools that may support you with online learning. Please note the expectations set for each campus and remember that we do not want to inundate our students with too many "new" things as it can quickly become overwhelming and an additional stress. Don't forget to also check the resources and databases curated by our librarians in the primary and secondary sections of this website.
Primary: Message to parents regarding online home learning.
Each teacher will email you, the parents, and those students who have ISHCMC emails (G3, S4, S5).
These communications will be on Seesaw and SEQTA email and direct message.
Each teacher will provide the following daily:
a morning message
learning engagements to choose from in Maths, Language, Unit of Inquiry
learning engagements in the specialist areas PE, Art, WL and Music
examples of how to document the learning that the students choose to engage in
the expectation that the students bring in evidence of the learning that they engage in
Primary focus moving forward for week 6 ‘Home Learning’:
Face to Face Contact with Students:
Homeroom teachers will provide the opportunity for Face to Face contact with each student daily
Face to Face contact may be individual or group
Assessments in Maths, Reading and Writing - Teachers will:
Plan intentionally for Maths, Reading and Writing including an assessment for each
Be explicit – name what the students are learning
Make short instructional videos to teach the learning intention throughout the week
Create a simple assessment for each that can be submitted and assessed including feedback
Things that will continue during online ‘Home Learning’:
Morning message daily
Instructional videos
Documented table of engagements in google drive
Worksheets for downloading etc
Choice and non-digital engagements
Responding to students and parents
Provide feedback to posts and to submitted work
Learning content:

It must sit within the timeframe of what is expected if we were in a face-to-face class
Ongoing project-based tasks (EE, Personal Project, CAS reflections) will continue
