IBDP And IBCP Curriculum Guide
Welcome
Welcome to our curriculum overview. This website has been created to aid our Grade 10 students in choosing the programme and subject choices which gives them the most appropriate and stimulating pathway to success. This is an exciting time for students, parents and teachers, however with a choice as important with this, there are many factors to consider. We hope that the information contained within this website allows our students to make informed choices.
Programme Choices
At ISH, we are proud to offer both the IB Career-related and the IB Diploma Programme.
Subject Choices
Making the correct choice of courses to study for either programme is essential, and it is very important that students consider their interests and academic strengths. It is also right to consider possible future courses at college or university. It is very important that students and parents take advantage of the various opportunities to discuss options with the faculty, and in particular the Grade 10 teachers who will know each student’s capabilities and limitations in the different subject areas. Parent-Teacher conferences, and the Tutor Programme all represent valuable opportunities to gain advice and support. In January there will be a formal open evening when the grade 11 subject combinations are presented. If you cannot make this meeting or apply to join the school after January then please do arrange an individual meeting to go through any queries or concerns.
