We are going to talk about an endangered animal called Amur leaoperd, products that have been tested on animals, overhunting animals, clothing that have been made by animals, palm oil and how it affects animals and their homes, and organizion that helps animals.
We discussed with a person named Jannie Dunnkjær she is a member of Anima.dk, we got the answers to our question from her.
Weight = 70-105
Habitat = Forest especially in cold weather
Status = Critically Endangered
BY Krish Panda
The Amur Leopard is one of the rarest animals in the world. They are speedy creatures who are able to run up to 35 miles per hour, faster than Usain Bolt!
Amur Leopard is hunted and being killed for its fur. They have long furry tails which are about 81-89 cm long. There are less than 50 Amur Leopards left in the world. They are mostly in Russia and southern east china. Its scientific name is Panthera pardus Orientalis.
Amur Leopards like to eat deer so when they go to deer farms in search of deer, the owner of the deer kills or injures the Amur Leopards and that’s also a reason that they are getting extinct. In 2009 in Russia Police found the skin of a male Amur Leopard in a car and its status is critically endangered. Their bones are used for traditional Chinese medicines.
Amur Leopards are found between Russia and Eastern China.
While the hunters are hunting Amur Leopards and selling their skin they usually earn a lot of money because the price is usually between 100,000 to 300,000 dollars.
Also the Amur Leopard skin sellers just care about the money not the lives of the Amur Leopard and I think selling the Amur Leopard skin is not worth it so why hunt it. They should have the right to live peacefully not be killed just like us humans.
Some times the cubs do not even get food because the mother cant handle the frost on the meat.
They usually live in cold icy weather between Russia and Eastern China, they also like the hot warm sun. they lived in rainforests but now they don’t, they now live in harsh cold weather as I had said before

As you can see on the first picture all these products are all tested on animals. You may recognize some of these and a lot of people around the world use these products. Every year more than 100 million animals are killed due to experiments on products.
Sometimes when animals are getting tested on, they have to eat some drugs, not make the animals move so much and before their death, some have to inhale toxic fumes, some have holes drilled into their skulls and some have to get their skin burned off . Companies and brands have to test on animals if they are working with China due to the laws.
The animals mostly tested on in Denmark are: Rats, rabbits, dogs, bird, and cats. The most popular animals that products test on in America rabbits and rats. Notice how when you watch a science cartoon, the animals that are tested on are mostly rats or mice. Most of the products tested on animals are very popular around the world because a lot of people use them.
As you can see on the second picture, those are some brands that do NOT test on animals. Some of them are makeup and some of them are creams/soaps. I highly recommend it because they do not test on animals and it is better for the environment and for animals. Examples of brands that do not test on animals in Denmark: Nilens jord and Matas. If you buy the non-tested on animals products, then the companies will become more used and the companies will be known more.
There are more than 300 million trapped inside forced to make eggs just for shops and they almost never see the sun because they have to sit inside and produce eggs just for people to eat them later. That just means that chickens are just animals to make eggs and to get eaten? No! Chickens have the right to live as A CHICKEN! Not as some servant to humans.
Chickens can be pets and sometimes are pets to make eggs too, but they get to be outside and see the sun! A lot of people have chickens as pets but most farms only have them to make eggs and not live the life of a normal chicken.
Sciences test on mice because they are easily maintained and get used to new surroundings really quickly. Also because you can find them easily in pet shops and they are not expensive so sciences don't have to spend a lot of money to test on animals for products. Mice are warm blooded and humans are warm blooded too so they use mice instead of humans. Also they are pretty similar to humans so scientists would rather test on animals than on humans.

This text is about overhunting animals, and what will happen in the world if all animals face extinction. This text is also about how people make money by killing animals. I am also going to talk about how animals are losing their habitats.
Now many people say that overhunting is bad but they still over hunt many people say that it is bad to damage and pollute the environment but they still do it. Can you see the problem? It is pretty obvious that us humans we destroy the beautiful nature we don't just kill the nature animals but we also damage their land. Many people overhunt for money/fur/food and also for pictures. Now you may not understand why someone wants to kill a (huge majestically) animal for pictures but they do it for fame. Why would someone do that? why wouldn't you save an animal and remember it for the rest of your life? Or will you kill an animal and take selfies with it and then just leave it there lying on the ground with its dead body, what would you rather remember? Probably the first one.
It is pretty simple us humans we will also face extinction, because what do we eat? we eat animals, and now you may wonder but "we can still eat plants" actually we cant just eat plants because without animals there would be no plants. eg. Butterflies and bees they help plants grow. So keep in mind that animals they are our key to life and the key to our life is slowly fading away because of us humans.
Did you guys know that approximately 2000 animals go extinct every year because of some of us humans? Well if you did not know then at least you know it now. It is not only animals that suffer from extinction even plants do because the human population grows and we need more land so we take the animal/plant's habitats by growing farms, cities, roads, etc..
But now back to the animals, it is not only one country that hunts too many animals, but it is also countries all over the world. The place where it is most common to overhunt is in South Africa.
The funny part is that people make money by letting someone kill an animal. Fx in South Africa you can sell a cape buffalo for around 15,000 dollars, a 14-day leopard hunt will cost you 32,500 to 44,000 dollars. Not even that you can sell a leopard skin for 100,000 to 300,000 dollars that is a lot of money but is it worth it? I don't think so.
What would you do if you saw an animal suffering? will you help it or sell it and make money on it, if you chose the second answer then... I don't know what to say, imagine if it was you getting hunted in your area, not returning to your family, not returning to life. I would (kind of) understand it if the ones that hunted it (that can't happen because it's expensive to hunt big animals) at least were poor or if they at least wanted to eat it but no they would make clothes out of it and sell it or they will just take its skin and throw the cold body on the floor, leaving it there.
Over-hunting does not only damage the animal's species it also damages us, humans, did you guys know that plants are disappearing 1000 times faster than they did 65 million years ago and what would happen if we did not have plants? Well pretty simple we would not be able to get oxygen, that means that we wouldn't be able to breathe and pretty much die.
The whole animal rights group had 2 questions each for Jannie Dunnkjær here is the questions I asked. Interview with Jannie Dunnkjær: a professional from the website Anima.dk (an organization that helps animals) So I had 3 questions for Jannie Dunnkjær the first one was: What does Anima.dk do to help animals when they get donations all over the world? Her answer was: "we travel all over the world and help/save animals not only endangered ones, plus we also do campaigns and we even donate to other animal organizations".
My second question was: is it safe to keep animals in circuses? She thought about the question for 5 seconds and then she responded, "Well yes it is but it's only safe because the animals are kept in cages plus the animals know that if they attack one of the employees then they are gonna get a punishment".
I had one last question and that question was: does the coronavirus (COVID-19) affect anything, furthermore, does the coronavirus make it harder to save animals? she immediately answered, " well yes it does because we can't do campaigns or travel to other countries, now we have to do everything online and that makes it very hard.
(Sad fact 72 billion land animals are killed each year for food. Now I want you to imagine how many fish are killed in the great ocean each year.
TOP 3 MOST HUNTED ANIMALS!
here is a list of the most endangered animals:
2020: the black rhino known as the Sumatran rhino also the white rhino, there are less than 75 white rhinos remaining in the world. If a zoo captures one of the Sumatran rhino's then they are going to keep them in guard 24/7
2019: the Amur leopard there are less than 100 amur leopards alive.
2018: the Vaquita is known as the smallest porpoise there may be no more than 10 vaquitas alive.
Well it seems like this is the end and I hope that this text taught you guys some new information. I hope that you guys will spread this message "we have no rights to harm animals they are living creatures just like us"!

Fact Mink is the animal which is used the most for fur.
BY Chloe Simard
There are 50 million animals that have been killed by humans for clothing.
Leather
Pig skin can be used for wallets. Buffalos, horses, crocodiles, dogs, kangaroos can be used for leather. Kangaroo is used for making strong and flexible things so it can resist. Lamb and deerskin are used for softer leather therefor it's more expensive.
Fur
Chinchillas, foxes, seals, minks, racoons are used to make fur. Millions of animals have been killed on fur farms for fur. These farms are found in Denmark, Finland, Austria, Irland, Canada, and China. The U.S is also a fur producer and has not banned any state to stop fur farming. Utah and Wisconsin are the top two states in the U.S that do fur farming.
Wool
You might think that wool is similar to fur or that it's the same just named differently well then you are wrong. Wool might be produced from sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, or Tibetan antelopes. It might be called mohair, pasmina, shastoosh, or maybe cashmere. Australia produces 30 percent of all wool used worldwide.
Down
Down can be produced from geese, goose, ducks, chicken. The birds get plucked so their feathers get pulled out. It leaves them bleeding and in pain.
Silk
Silk is made from silkworms. Silkworms are more like caterpillars actually they are more caterpillars then worms! 3000 silkworms get killed to make a pound of silk. Silk is produced in over 60 countries. Asian contries produce most of all silk used worldwide. China produces the most silk worldwide.
History of silk
China is the country that started silk. According to the Chinese legend it all started with Empress Si Ling Ching who was drinking tea under a melberry tree. A cocoon fell into her cup and a string started to unravel. The Empress and Emperor figured out that they could make clothing from it. So they started to make clothing out of this soft fabric. They kept it secret and did not tell any other contry for 2,000 years. They sold the silk but kept how to make it a secret. The secret got stolen and got spread to Japan, India and main land Europe.
Different ways animals are used in clothing.
Silk
In clothing you can find silk in shirts, dresses, ties, bedding, skirts and in other luxury things.
Fur
In clothing fur can be found in jackets. Jackets is the main one then you can not find it anywhere else really.
Leather
In clothing leather can be found in jackets, shoes, wallets, and more clothing or objects.
Down
In clothing you can find down in jackets, some pillows that have feathers.
Wool
In clothing wool can be found in sweaters and shirts.
Before clothing made from by animals was necessary for people because that was they way the made clothing. Now people use it for fashion it is not necessary like it was in the past. These days you don't need to wear clothing made from animals. What do you think about clothing made from animals? Clothing made from animals comes from a body who wanted to live just like us.
Animals suffer a lot because of this especially the ones who produce fur.
Would you like to be an animal that has to die because of clothing? What do you think of the way they are doing it?

Have you ever ate an Oreo or Nutella and wondered what was in it? Well, almost all the products in the world contain one similar oil called palm oil. You can find palm oil in Oreo, Kit-Kat, Tim-Tam, Coca-Cola, Fanta, Crunch, Chokito, Pixie Caramel, Smarties, Milky-way and more.
But have you ever wondered how did the palm oil companies grow the palm trees? Well, palm oil companies had to clear space for the palm trees to grow and if 1 palm tree is around 3-meter diameter wide. Just imagine how much space they would have to clear for hundreds and hundreds of palm trees? Because of that, animals and their habitat are being harmed by palm oil companies.
Animals like the orangutan, Sumatran Elephant, Bornean Pygmy Elephant, Sumatran Rhino and other types of animals are losing their habitat and their lives.
For the last 20 years, almost 80% of orangutan habitat has disappeared. In addition, we are losing around 6,000 orangutans every year. Also there are about 400 Sumatran tigers left today.
If you feel like helping the animals and their homes then just start by purchasing palm oil-free products like MOMA, Hodmedod's, InfinityFoods, Biona, Waitrose, Wild Friends Peanut Butter, Enjoy life foods protein bites, RXBAR and more.
However if you want to buy palm oil-free products be careful because some of the products in the world use different names instead of palm oil. Like Glyceryl, Elaeis guineensis, Etyl palmitate, vegetable oil and more.
So now maybe think twice before using any palm oil products. Because not only is palm oil harming the environment it is also endangering the animals.
