Coaching Profiles

Les Zellmann - 48 years as an educator (retired). Boys Tennis head coach since 1980. Girls Tennis head coach since 1984. Previously served the St. James district as Head boys basketball coach, assistant boys basketball coach, 8th grade boys basketball coach, and as an assistant football coach. The most senior tennis coach in the state of MN. MN HS record for most team wins for boys and girls tennis teams in MSHSL history. Director of St. James Area Summer programs since 1984. Director of St. James Area Summer Player Camps since 1991. 

Brian Bluedorn - 18th year on our staff. Teaches Social Studies classes in the St. James school system. Currently serves as co-head coach in Boys Tennis and Girls Tennis. Also, coaches JH Girls Basketball and is an assistant Boys Tennis coach. He also provides additional service to St. James Area as a Driver's Education Instructor. Played tennis at Spring Lake Park High School.

Kevin Walzak-  Alliance Church Ministry (retired). Serves SJA tennis as a volunteer coach. USPTA Certified Instructor.

Meghan Knudson - Former player - 1st year member of the St. James Area Tennis staff this Fall.  Megan played on three state girls tennis teams.

Cohen Danhoff - Former player.   First-year member of the St. James Area Tennis staff this fall.  Was a four year letterwinner in our program.
