A brief history
In 2012, staff at the Bertha-Hewitt school saw a need to move from a Targeted Title I School, working only with specific students, to a School-wide Program. This enables much flexibility within our services to meet the student at their point of need. All students can receive assistance as they need it.
Where we are today
Where we are today
Title services are provided within classrooms as well as outside of their regular classroom. Being able to do enables us to provide rich activities, as needed.
We have also expanded into grades 7 and 8 in the area of Reading. An extra boost of strategies to apply what they learned about reading during their elementary years, is provided to help students make that transition into high school.
