Welcome to the Mankato East Wrestling Webpage. Wrestling is a great winter sport that improves strength, balance, and power, while also teaching determination, confidence, and mental toughness. The skills learned in wrestling can easily be translated to other sports as well as lifelong situations. As Dan Gable famously stated, "once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy".
2024-25 Season
2024-25 Season
2024-25 was one of the best seasons in East History. The varsity team had a 20-8 record in duals and a 341-231 record in individual matches. The team made it to the Section Semifinals for the just the 2nd time and lost to the State Champions Watertown Mayer/Mayer Lutheran. We had 7 Indvidual Section placers with 3 State entrants including Max Morgan (Champion), Jackson Stensrud (Runner-up), and Tyler Thilges (Runner-up). Max was able to follow that up with a 3rd place finish at State. The JV really came on at the end of the season as well as we finished with over 30 senior high wrestlers for the 2nd year in a row.
