To promote effective transition services through community collaboration for youth with disabilities and their families preparing them for adult life.
Work Skills Competition is an opportunity for students with an IEP ages 16+ to showcase their job seeking skills.
Students participate in mock interviews, online job application, and a general work knowledge exam. Events are scored and winners receive medals. All students receive a certificate and a chance to win prizes.
Students are encouraged to dress and present themselves as if they are going to a real job interview. Judges are volunteer community members from different businesses around the area.
This is a fun and exciting experience for students to practice for real job interviews! It is also a great way for community members to get involved with schools.
