2023 Important Dates

• Thursday, August 17: Outdoor Practice/Team Day

  • We will be practicing outside at the Browerville Community Pool!  After practice, we will be eating pizza & having some team time before we head to Osakis for some great team bonding time & a bowling tournament!

  • What to bring…

    • Swim practice items: Suit, goggles, towel, swim bag

    • SOCKS FOR BOWLING!

    • $12 to cover the cost of bowling and pizza.

  • Leave: 7:30 AM, return: 3:00 p.m.  (I’m not 100% sure on the return time.  Could be earlier)

• Sunday, August 20: Clothing Order Due (The store opens Monday, August 14.)

  • Order online at https://www.midwestscreenprint.com/

    • Go to the online store and select “Sauk Centre Swim and Dive.”

    • WE ARE NOT DOING A SEPARATE ORDER FOR PARENTS THIS YEAR.  Many of the items on the order form were picked with parents in mind.  Parents, please order any items you wish for yourself from the online store.

• Tuesday, August 22: Bakery Fundraiser

  • We have partnered with the bakery to have a fundraiser exclusively for the swim teams!  On Tuesday, starting at noon they will be selling donuts and donating a portion of the profits to the team.  

  • It’s a chance to indulge your sweet tooth & support the swim teams.  Watch for more info on our Facebook page.

  • I will be asking the older girls to help out behind the counter and maybe even do some deliveries!

• Friday, August 25: Willmar Invite 8-12 grade will be competing

  • I haven’t had the start times sent to me yet but over the last few years the schedule has been as follows (I will let you know if the meet information has different start times):

    • 11:00 am: Divers Leave

    • 2:00 pm: Diving begins

    • 2:15 pm: Swimmers leave

    • 5:00 pm: Swimming begins

• Saturday, August 26: Concert For A Cause, Sinclair Lewis Bandshell.  

  • Begins at 6:00 pm.

  • There is no admission fee but we are gathering donations.  Please help spread the word & gather as many donations as you can!

  • We will have food vendors at the show as well!

  • I will let the swimmers know what they will be helping with as the day gets closer.

• Thursday, September 7: Picture Day/Military Appreciation Night

  • Swimmers will receive envelopes to order a few days before.  

  • All athletes should bring their envelope & be on deck immediately after school, ready for their picture to be taken.

• Saturday, September 16: Park Rapids Invite, All athletes grades 7-12 will be competing

  • More information to come

• Tuesday, September 26: Senior Night

  • We will recognize our seniors before the meet starts, beginning around 5:45 PM.

• Tuesday, October 17: Breast Cancer Awareness Night
