2026 Golf Season RECAP!
2026 was quite a Year!
WOW—what a season we just wrapped up! From start to finish, 2026 was filled with growth, hard work, and some incredible accomplishments. It was a privilege to coach both our returning athletes and the new faces who joined the golf program this year.
This season, we had six golfers advance to Day 2 of Sections, a tremendous achievement that reflects the dedication and commitment of our team. We were also fortunate to have Adam Thao qualify for the Boys State Tournament, an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the work he has put into his game.
Beyond those headline achievements, we saw personal bests, improved scores, and tremendous development throughout the entire roster. The progress our athletes made from the first practice of the season to the final tournament was remarkable, and it speaks to the culture of effort and improvement that continues to grow within our program.
While there is a lot to celebrate, there is also plenty of motivation moving forward. Our program has taken significant steps forward, but we know there is still more work to be done and opportunities to get even better. The foundation is strong, and the future is bright.

We provide student-athletes avenues for positive learning experiences while being less focused on the outcomes and more about the process that leads to our own version of success. We will get to this place by being honest, mindful, as well as showing compassion and empathy to ourselves and others. In the golf program we hope to instill a love of golf as a lifelong sport with the aim to grow the game for both competitive and leisure purposes regardless of skill.
When I look back on my student athletic experiences I had many coaches who had a truly positive impact in my life beyond just the sport I was playing. This drives me as a coach to be more of a mentor who teaches love of activity and sport while trying to move beyond just wins and losses. If students can improve in their skill at a given sport while also improving in the core values from our purpose statement then I would consider it a successful season. Winning and success are important, but should not be the primary focus of our team's goals and accomplishments.
