Intro to Chemistry and Physics (ICP) Syllabus

Physical Science is the study of the physical world.  This covers the topics of chemistry, the study of materials, their composition and structure, and the changes they undergo, as well as physics, the study of matter and energy and how they are related.  You will not only learn about chemistry and physics, but also strategies how to study it.  As usual, your success in this class will depend on how much time and effort you are willing to spend on it.

Our goal is to cover the standards in both chemistry and physics, as well as a portion of the nature of science. In addition, we will integrate earth science and realize that physics is actually the driving factor behind all the phenomenon you have witnessed in weather, erosion, etc.  By successfully completing this course, you will have met the state requirements for these standards. Should you find these topics of interest to you, or should chemistry and physics be requirements for your future college plans and career, you will want to continue as a junior and senior and take a full year of chemistry and a full year of physics.

Lesson plans will be available every morning and found on Google Classroom.
