Choirs at Mayo High School are offered as classes and meet as such. There are three choirs in the program: Spartan, Concert Choir, and Concert Choir Honors. All choirs participate in three main Concerts each year, with those students in Concert Choir Honors also performing each year at the Meet the Ensemble Concert, the Big 9 Music Festival, and Graduation. Students involved in the music department are also able to audition for the Southtown Singers, Mayo’s Pop Choir which rehearses after school.

The Choirs hold various fundraisers each year to help with music department tour costs. Tours are offered most years and are optional.

How to join: Students can join by signing up as you would for any other class. Spartan Choir is for 9th grade, Concert Choir for grades 10-12, and Concert Choir Honors is by placement/audition with the instructor.
