The Gage Community Resource Room has a selection of food, clothing, shoes, winter gear, toiletries and school supplies on hand. You can click the icons below to access our resources and order items to be sent home with your student or picked up from the office. You can also make an appointment to come visit the resource room to find what you need or to use the washer/dryer on site. We have community partners that can help us find other items you might need if we don't currently have them available.

Food pantry: We have a food pantry on-site at Gage. You can visit by appointment, or contact us to send food home. We can send it with a student, arrange for pick-up in our main office, or make other arrangements.
Currently our food pantry has:
Noodles, pasta, beans, lentils
Soup mixes, Ramen, Macaroni & Cheese
Chicken (pre-cooked), tuna, canned beef
Peanut butter, canned vegetables
Canned fruit, nuts, raisins
Cereal
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are free for students under age 18. All students are offered breakfast when they enter school in the morning from 9:20-9:30, and lunch during their scheduled time. Dinner is available in our cafeteria from 4:00-4:45pm on school days, and is free for anyone under 18 years old.
Snacks: Fresh fruit and vegetable snacks are provided to students on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at school. We have some snacks available in our Resource Room available as well.
Community Garden: Our Community Garden is thriving, thanks to our UMR-Master Gardener Jana Frei. Community members are welcome to help tend the garden and use the produce. This month (September), we have been harvesting tomatoes, squash, sage, cilantro, cucumbers, beans, peas, and more. Come check it out!
Channel One Backpack Program: Rochester Public Schools partners with Channel One Regional Food Bank to provide the Backpack program. This program will offer snacks and easy to prepare meals for students over the weekend and school breaks for free. Food will be sent home with students. If your student would benefit from this, please fill out this form and return it to Gage Main Office.
Food assistance: We can connect you with additional food assistance resources. Please contact us for more information.

Clothes: Shirts, pants, socks, light jackets, sweatshirts; most items in sizes 2T-Adult XL.
Shoes: Tennis shoes in selected youth sizes
Winter gear: Hats, mittens, winter coats in sizes 2T-Adult XL. Snow pants and boots in selected sizes.

School supplies: Notebooks, folders, pencil boxes, dry erase markers, markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencils, glue, scissors, calculators, and more.

Adults can make an appointment to use our washer/dryer in the Resource Room.
Adults can also send laundry with their student in the morning to be washed/dried and returned home with the student in the afternoon.

We have two computers with internet available in the Resource Room for completing forms and applications. Schedule an appointment to use them by contacting Julie McLaren at jumclaren@rochesterschools.org or by phone at 507-328-3418.
If you're looking for tech support for student devices, Julie can help with that as well.
We partner with a variety of community organizations to help you find the right kinds of support. Our school provides on-site services like flu vaccination clinics, dental visits, vision screenings, and counseling. We have community partners who can help you with housing information and assistance, mental health, and more. If you need support, we are here to help you find what you need.
