Hello-

Thank you for your support of your child this year. We have been very happy with their academic and behavioral progress. Thank you for your support of us during this less than ideal year. Together we made it through a year of many changes and challenges, we sincerely appreciate your support, trust, and commitment.

Repeat Items:

From the Media Center: Please DOUBLE check around your house. Many materials were not returned last year after Distance Learning. Media materials are due back to Princeton Intermediate May 21st. We appreciate your help with the return of school materials.

From the Tech Department: To assist in the collection and storage of Chromebooks we are asking that Chromebooks, Chargers, and Hot Spots be returned to school on May 20th. Students will no longer be taking Chromebooks home after this date. Please make sure that all school technology is returned. If you are having problems with any of the equipment please fill out a technology work order: https://helpdesk.isd477.org/portal

From our Health Office: This link is a resource for conversation and learning about Growth and Development. In fourth grade students typically have this conversation with our health office staff, but as we know everything was different last spring. Please use this link to facilitate a discussion in your household about our changing bodies. https://sites.google.com/isd477.org/always-changing-and-growing-up/home

We appreciate your support of your child's educational journey. We would appreciate your help in encouraging your child to finish the year strong with completion of work, positive behavior, and showing respect for themselves and others. We know that it gets tough as the weather gets nicer and the anticipation of summer sets in. We want to do fun activities with our class, but we also need them to show Tiger Pride so that the activities can remain fun. Thank you again for reviewing school expectations with your child, we will continue to do the same here at school. We are a team in this journey.

Spring has sprung. With the change of weather there has been a change in behavior. We could really use your help in reminding our students about showing respect to others. We have noticed an increase in disrespect toward our lunch/recess supervisors specifically. Please review with your child what is expected when a direction is given by an adult at school. We have also noticed an increase in rude actions and words to peers. Again, we would appreciate your support in reviewing how we should treat others. We like to use the "golden rule" when we talk to our students, "treat others the way you would like to be treated". Thank you for your support in these areas.

Please continue to encourage good personal hygiene and review the importance of daily showers (with soap), brushing our teeth, washing our clothes, and washing our masks (daily). It is the time of year where we want to be extra aware of hygiene issues as we are in the classroom all day and it is hard to concentrate when we are uncomfortable. We also talked about using common sense when it comes to the melting snow, puddles, rain, etc. It is not comfortable to sit in wet clothes and it is hard to focus.

We will continue to need CLEAN masks while at school, we will continue to have free breakfast and lunch in the classroom, we will continue to have Specialists in the classroom, we will need to continue using good hygiene with hand washing and sanitizing, and we will need to continue social distancing.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. WE are a team in providing your child an education.

Together we are better!

Thank You,

Mrs. Jensen and Srta. Ramirez
