ZOOM/Google Meet meetings/ Flipgrid expectations

Be aware of your family’s privacy.

Choose a neutral background.

If you need to move around your house, turn off your camera.

Do not have other family members in the view of your camera.

Clothing and behavior should be school appropriate and not distracting.

Keep your sound on mute until your teacher calls on you.

Raise your hand electronically if you want to talk.

Reserve the “chat” feature for necessary questions or help. (Not the place for random thoughts.)

Photos, screenshots or videos of your teacher or classmates will not be allowed.

Save food for off camera

If we work together, these meetings can be fun, impactful learning experiences.

Here are a few tips to prepare your student for distance learning:

1. Help your child set a daily schedule at home so they understand what is expected of them.

2. Make sure you have a device (grades 3-12) and a plan to access the internet.

3. Designate a place in your home as a "learning space" to minimize distractions.
