Drag and Drop Activities
If you have ever utilized an interactive whiteboard with your students, then you can attest to the fact that they love activities where they can manipulate, move or label objects. The only problem is, you have a whole class of students and only one board. Google Drawing to the rescue! You can recreate these engaging drag and drop activities using Google Drawing, and every student can attempt the activity on their own device. If you use Google Classroom, you can "Make a copy for each student" so that you may access their finished work.
Click the image below to make a copy of my template. You can then replace the image with one of your choosing, and reword my directions to suit your needs. Finally, right click on any of the word art under the shapes heading to change the text.
**IMPORTANT: When doing a drag and drop activity, it is best to use word art instead of text boxes. When text boxes are clicked on to drag them, they assume you want to edit the text. This could be a source of frustration for students. Word art looks better, and is easier to move across the screen.
