Welcome to THHS 2025/2026 School Year

Hello,  My name is Katrina Buckman and I am the middle school counselor at Two Harbors High School.  This is my fourth year in the Lake Superior School district and I am so excited for another year with my students. 

Before coming to Two Harbors, I spent two years as a school counselor in Gila Bend, Arizona.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin- Stout in Vocational Rehabilitation with a minor in Social Work.  Then, I went on to receive my masters degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in guidance and counseling.

I grew up in Duluth, MN and currently live in Superior, Wisconsin with my husband Alex, our son Anders, and our three dogs, Mike, Leo and Teddy. When I am not at school, I love hiking, camping, listening to live music, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.

The thing I enjoy most about being a school counselor is being able to empower students in their own success. I love rooting kids on to accomplish their goals and guiding them when they need a little extra support. I'm passionate about working with middle schoolers and I’m looking forward to my fourth year here at Two Harbors.
