About Me

I am a Falls High School graduate from the class of 2008. While in high school I was involved in the hockey and track and field clubs, but football was my real passion. During my last two years of high school I attended Rainy River Community College achieved my Associate of Arts degree. I attended the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. While there, I worked as a snowboard instructor, personal care attendant, preschool student aide, and sign language teaching assistant. I graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minor in American Sign Language in May of 2012, and with my Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May of 2014.

Throughout my graduate program, I completed internships with the Rainy Lake Medical Center, Scottish Rite Clinic for Childhood Language Disorders, Duluth, MN, and Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN. Following graduation I completed my clinical fellowship and two years of work with Essentia Health's St. Mary's Medical Center Acute Therapy unit in Duluth, MN.

I had the opportunity to move home to International Falls in 2016, and have since worked for ISD 361 providing our students with speech-language services and coach the Falls High School Bronco Football team. I have the privilege of watching student's grow as their communication improves. I most appreciate the energy and excitement our students maintain. They are always excited for what's next!!
