I am currently a full time Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) teacher at Bemidji Middle School, Bemidji, MN. I have been with Independent School District #31 since 1993.
I received my Associate of Arts degrees at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, IA. I then went on to finish my teaching degree at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA. Go Panthers!! I completed a degree in vocational home economics. While starting my career in Bemidji, I decided to complete my masters degree. I attended classes at Bemidji State University and complete my masters in Middle Level Education.
I have a daughter, Alison and son in law, Randy. Alison and Randy both attended school at Bemidji High School. Alison completed her college degree at Bemidji State University. They both currently reside and work in Bemidji so family time is a treasure.
I enjoy several hobbies, including all aspects of FACS, reading, movies, and music. I also enjoy my time coaching sports for the Bemidji Middle School. I coach both girls swimming and softball, so the spring and fall are very busy. I am also a part of several committees within the school and at the district.
