The Bemidji High School and Bemidji Middle School activity departments have begun a public fundraising campaign for athletic fields and practice areas.  The Lumberjack Field Improvement Project Fund is a component fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation and will aid in the creation of outdoor competitive fields and practice field improvements at Bemidji High School.  The project has been discussed for several years but not pursued due to costs.  Please note – this will not impact local property taxes.  The scope of the project is to build a new competitive soccer field, additional softball fields, update the track and field event areas, and update soccer practice fields.  The highlight of the project will be a new multi-sport synthetic turf stadium. Please consider a donation to this project.  Donations can be made at www.nwmf.org/give-now or mailed to Northwest Minnesota Foundation, 201 3rd Street, Bemidji, MN 56601.
