Public Performances

Free to the public. Donations gladly accepted. All donations received help our program function and survive.

Donations allow us to purchase necessary materials to build sets, rent costumes and pay for Workshape.

Competition days

These are all day events. Free to the public. 

We highly encourage our families and friends to support our performances on these dates.

MSHSL Rules prohibit the use of photography and video recording during all performances! 

Students involved with the One Act are highly recommended to clear their outside schedules on competition days.

For students considering joining OAP:

The One Act is competition theatre. We travel to different school sites to perform against other section One Act teams while being professional and maintaining healthy sportsmanship.

7th through 12th grade students are eligible to participate.

We are limited to 20 student participants per MSHSL rules.

This is a competition sanctioned by the state of Minnesota, so all students must meet grade eligibility requirements.

Activity fee of $40 must be paid to Activities Office.

Our season runs from the last week in November to the second week in February. Audition announcements typically start in October.

To any student considering joining but are unsure: we highly encourage them to speak with Director David Nielsen or any veteran One Act cast member to get a good understanding of our program. This is a fun, educational, yet intense and in-depth opportunity for any and all experience levels! We, as a team, are accepting and willing to coach those who are committed to being a part of this exciting adventure.
