Ceramics 1

Ceramics 1 is a beginning class that introduces students to the wonderful world of clay. We learn hand building and wheel throwing and glazing. Students will be able to take home their work. This class is offered to students grades 10-12. There is a course fee to cover some of the costs for supplies

Ceramics 2

An advanced class that builds upon the techniqes learned in Ceramics 1. Students will be given more responsibility and input into their assignments. We will also learn more about clay, glazing and firing. This class is offered to students that have taken Ceramics 1. There is a course fee to cover some of the costs for supplies.

Drawing and Design 1

This is an introduction to numerous artistic techniques. Graphite, oil pastel, ink, charcoal just to name a few. Using the elements and principles of design, students learn how to use their own voice to create art. This class is offered to students grades 9-12. There is a $5.00 fee for a sketch book and supplies.

Drawing and Design 2

This class delves deeper into the techniques learned in Drawing and Design 1. This class is for students that want to spend more time learning to use the tools needed to create their Art. This class is offered to students that have taken Drawing and Design 1. There is a $5.00 fee for a sketch book and supplies.

Painting

Offered to students grades 10-12, painting introduces students to watercolor, tempra and acrylic paint. This class is for students that want to learning to use paint to express their voice. There is a $10.00 fee for supplies.

Advanced Studio Art

This is a class for students that are serious about Art. Art majors or students that have taken all other Art classes offered. Students set and impliment their owrn curriculm. They must be independant workers with a drive to create. A true studio class with and empahasis on creativity. There is a fee for supplies depending on the medium used.
