Mr. Cada's Website

Welcome to my website! The purpose of this site is to provide class plans, assignments, worksheets, lego robotics information, and online lessons to students and parents.

Here is a little bit for information about me:

This is my fifteenth year here at Plainview-Elgin-Millville and my fifteenth year teaching overall. I graduated from Winona State University with a Math Education B.S. Six summer's ago I completed my Master's degree in Educational Technology from Mankato State University. I am originally from Winona, lived in Plainview for 8 years, and moved to Elgin in 2017. That same summer I also got married to my wonderful wife, Taylor, and we live just a few blocks from the school with our ultra-friendly dog, Gabby. In January of 2020 we also welcomed our baby girl, Baylor. She is the apple of our eye and brightens the room with her smile and laugh. We are truly blessed to have her.

This year I will be teaching all 8th grade classes. I will be teaching three hours of Linear Algebra, and two hours of Intermediate Algebra. I will also be teaching a Math Support class in the afternoons to help students one-on-one with homework. I love math and enjoy helping students understand concepts and ideas that they didn't know before. I think teaching is most rewarding at the end of the year when you see all the progress the students have made.

In the fall I coach the Jr. High Math League team and Lego Robotics club. In the winter I have run a Jr. High Bowling club the past few years. And in the Spring I am the JV Squad softball coach. In my free time, I love baseball, playing softball, bowling, getting outside in the summer, and staying active.
