Preschool

School Readiness (Preschool) is a public school program available to Minnesota children, age 3 years to kindergarten enrollment who meet certain eligibility requirements. The purpose of a Preschool program is to prepare children to enter kindergarten. The goal is to help preschoolers enter school with the skills and behaviors necessary to be successful in future learning.
Here at PEM, we offer 2 day, 3day, and 5 day options to attend either an AM or PM class. Morning sessions run from 7:45-10:30am and afternoon sessions run from noon to 2:45pm.  We have three preschool teachers (Miss Stewart, Mrs. Sagdalen, and Mrs. Bartsh) each running a morning session and an afternoon session.
You may register your child beginning each year on April 1st for the following school year. Classes are filled on a first come first served basis starting with the four year olds.  Fully completed paperwork and paid registration fee are required.
Transportation:  Parents are responsible for setting up transportation to and from preschool.  The Hiawathaland Transit Company is one option that requires an application and has limited spots.  Preschoolers are unable to use the regular PEM school buses.
