Doug and Cara Grisim of Bluff Country School Bus Service have been in business since 1995 when they purchased 8 buses from Raleigh and MaryAnn Tiedeman in Lake City and provided student transportation services to the Lake City schools. They currently provide services to the Lake City, Wabasha-Kellogg and Plainview-Elgin-Millville school districts. Doug and Cara's daughter, Emmee Grisim Lopez, serves as the company's Routing Coordinator for all three districts and their son, Rusty, is a bus salesman for United Bus Sales.

Doug grew up in a school bus family in Northfield, MN where his father, Ken, owned and operated buses starting in 1969. Doug currently serves on the Board of Directors and is a past President of the Minnesota School Bus Operators Association and is very proud to be in this industry serving families with care and compassion.

If you have a question about your student's transportation, please call our office at 507-710-4220 or email our general inbox at office@bluffcountrysb.com. All emails will be answered within 48 hours.

If your child will not be riding the bus for any reason (sickness, vacation, etc.) please call our office. Do not email any daily changes, as they will not get to the dispatch office in time.

For all updates to your address or if you are moving, please update your information with the appropriate school's secretary. Once the information has been updated, it will get entered into JMC and the school office will let the transportation company know. NO CHANGES will take place until this has been completed.
