  • Assume overall responsibility for the recruitment, selection, supervision, training and evaluation of over 95 licensed staff and over 35 non-licensed staff.
  • Provide leadership in the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of educational curriculum, instruction and assessment.
  • Oversee, plan and coordinate professional development activities for all staff.
  • Guide and supervise staff through professional goal setting and reflection.
  • Prepare and administer budgets for Sartell Middle School, including (but not limited to): Instructional Supply, Capital Outlay and Professional Development .
  • Develop and oversee an effective student management program for over 1,360 students in grades five through eight.
  • Perform a variety of public relation functions within the District and serve as the primary spokesperson concerning building level issues and serve as a liaison between the building, District administrators, district officials and the community.

  • Leader in implementing Safe & Supportive Schools for the Sartell-St. Stephen School District.
  • Leader in all aspects of Student Management including student discipline, supervision plans, implementing District policies, grade level student meetings, PBIS, peer mediation, parent conferencing, attendance procedures, and technology use.
  • Assisted in implementing one-to-one student iPad Mini initiative; Full Access. Team member of Strategic Leadership Team, Site Management Team, Administrative Team, Teacher Evaluation Implementation Team, Student Advisory Curriculum Team.
  • Performed teacher evaluations including learning walks and formal evaluations.

ALICE (June 2017)

The 2-day ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Training provides preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event.


ENVoY Training (August 2017)

The twelve-hour course is a research-proven collection of classroom management techniques, including mostly non-verbal communication, which preserves the relationship between teacher and student.


Model Schools Conference (June 2018)

The four-day conference is sponsored by the International Center for Leadership in Education. It includes presentations from innovative and model schools and “How-To” sessions to increase rigor, relevance and relationships.


Civil Mediation Training (August 2018)

The 30-Hour Civil Mediation Training is a course that develops skills, which are most important to deepening knowledge of effective conflict resolution.


Personalized Learning Series (2018-2019 School Year)

Author and former Superintendent Jim Rickabaugh leads this multi-day series. The series provides administrators with concepts, strategies and frameworks to support the transformation to personalized learning.

Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals hosts multiple Professional Development opportunities throughout the year.
