South Suburban Jets Adapted Athletics
WE ARE THE JETS, THE MIGHTY, MIGHTY JETS!!
The South Suburban Jets is open to student athletes in Grades 7-12 and attend Bloomington, Edina, Eden Prairie, or Richfield schools. Teams are co-ed and include soccer (Sept-Nov), floor hockey (Dec-March), and softball (April-May). All sports are played indoors with modified rules to assure safety. No players are cut and both a JV and Varsity team are run for each sport that we play. The host school is Bloomington Jefferson and all of our home games and practices will take place at the Bloomington Jefferson Activity Center.
All four public schools embrace adapted athletics and support the students with pep rallies, yearbook entries, year-end banquets, and trophy displays that parallel a typical student athlete experience. Student athletes may earn awards, school letters, all-conference, and MSHSL all-tournament team honors.
Each spring all members of the Jets JV and Varsity teams are invited by the Minnesota Twins to a baseball game at Target Field which includes a parade on the field while the players are warming up and a chance to be on the big screen! We also have an end of the year banquet to recognize our achievements throughout the year.
