Conduct & Behavior
You are expected to conduct yourself in a first-class manner at all times—whether in the high school, locker room, on the bus, on the field, or anywhere we travel as a team.
MSHSL Rules & Regulations
You must abide by all MSHSL rules regarding alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. Violations will not be tolerated.
Team Attitude & Responsibility
Participation on the baseball team is a privilege, and a positive team attitude is essential:
Refrain from swearing at all times.
Maintain emotional control and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
Long pants and a shirt are required at all practices.
Locker Room, Bus, & Equipment
Clean up after yourself in the locker room and on the bus.
No horseplay is allowed in the locker room or on the bus.
Remove baseball cleats before entering the school building or locker room after a game or practice.
You are responsible for all equipment issued to you.
All players are expected to help put equipment away after practices and games.
Communication & Attendance
Communication is vital for a successful season. If you will be absent or late for practice, you must personally speak to a coach in person or by phone before the scheduled practice.
It is your responsibility to inform the coaches—not a teammate’s.
No excuses will be accepted for being late unless prior notice is given or in the case of an extreme emergency.
No player may leave practice or a game early without prior approval from the coaches.
Attendance at every practice, game, and team meeting is expected.
All players must ride the team bus unless prior arrangements have been made with a coach for a ride with a parent.
Injury Reporting
All injuries must be reported to the coaches immediately so proper treatment can be provided as soon as possible.
By following these expectations, we ensure a disciplined, respectful, and successful baseball season. Let’s work together to represent Jefferson Baseball with pride!
