Student Policies

1. You will be expected to conduct yourself in a first class manner around the high school, in the locker room, on the bus, on the field and wherever else we may travel as a team.


2. You must abide by the MSHSL rules and regulations on alcohol consumption, drugs, and tobacco.


3. The opportunity to participate on the baseball team is a privilege. Individual team attitude is very important:

a. You are expected to refrain from swearing.

b. Personal emotional control reflecting good citizenship is imperative!

c. MSHSL rules prohibits jewelry during games.

d. Long pants and shirt are required at all practices.


4. You are expected to clean up after yourself in the locker room and on the bus.

a. There will be absolutely no horseplay allowed in the locker room and on the bus.

b. You are expected to remove your baseball shoes before entering the school building and locker room after a game or practice.

c. You will be responsible for any and all equipment issued to you.

d. Radios, tape player, CD players, etc. are not allowed on the field.

e. All players are responsible to help put equipment away after practices/games.


5. Communication is vital for a successful season. If for some reason you will be absent or late for practice, you must personally talk in person or by phone with one of the high school coaches prior to the scheduled time of that practice.

a. Coaches do not expect a teammate to talk to the coach about your absence or why you are late to practice. The responsibility is yours!!!

b. There will be no excuses accepted for being late unless we are notified in advance or an extreme emergency arises.

c. No ball player will leave a practice or game early without the prior approval of the coaches.

d. All individuals are expected to be present at every practice, game, and team meeting.

e. All players are expected to ride the team bus unless prior arrangements have been made with your coach that you will be riding with a parent.


6. It is imperative that all injuries be reported immediately to the coaches so that proper treatment can be initiated as soon as possible.
