College is any postsecondary education after high school (4 year, 2 year, community, technical, trade, certification, apprenticeship, etc.)
Postsecondary education or training opens the doors to opportunity by giving students the knowledge and skills needed for success.
All students have the right to explore and pursue postsecondary education or training. Students deserve equal access to opportunities so all students meet their potential.
Student’s development of a Personal Growth Plan (PGP) creates relevance by connecting their aspirations with their educational goals, which impacts postsecondary education and training completion.
Ongoing collaborative relationships with internship/mentorship programs, postsecondary institutions, and local businesses is necessary to enhance the career and college going culture at JHS.
Ms. Wallerick is a Licensed School Counselor with 27 years of experience as an educator. Her passion is to help students discover who they are in order make informed choices about their career before committing to a degree program. The traditional four-year college/university experience may not be the best route for all students in today's economy. The possibilities are endless and we want to help you find your perfect fit.
