Introducing TechTeams

Starting in the winter of 2018-19 most our shoots will be crewed by seasonal TechTeams.

This is a group of BEC-TV student techs who have committed to do all of a certain flavor of shoots for one season. Like all the Football Games. All the Shoots that happen on Thursdays. All of the High School Human Chess Tournaments that happen during an eclipse. You know - That kind of thing.

In the past, volunteers watched our production calendar and called us when something they wanted to help produce popped up. Sometimes this was several times a week, while other times you may not see anything that floats your boat for a long time. It's great to have flexibility, but dang hard to plan your life-schedule around.

It 's not required that you be on a TechTeam, but it is one of the things you'll need to do to advance through the ranks at BEC-TV, so we're really, REALLY recommending it. Being on a TechTeam also makes it a lot easier to plan your calendar, something that's nice for both you AND your parents. And, because you'll be working with the same people, you'll develop a deeper camaraderie, and grow together in your skills as a team.

TechTeams officially start right after New Year's.

But, if you're available now, start now! We've got a ton of shoots we need crew for and would absolutely LOVE to have you!
