If you are planning to get a new phone/device or have already got a new phone/device, you've come to the right place. Here you will find instructions for setting up your Microsoft Authenticator for your Farmington account on your new phone/device.
All staff are now required to have at least two authentication methods set up for their farmington.k12.mn.us email account. Please, verify that you have two methods setup by going to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info. If your are prompted to login, enter your Farmington email and password. You might also be prompted for approval for MFA using one of the methods you have previously set up. Lastly, you might be prompted to add another authentication method before continuing to the sign in page. Follow all necessary prompts then return to these instructions.
Note: Be sure to remove your @farmington account from the new phone, if it shows up in your Microsoft Authenticator app.
From the left, click on ‘Security Info’ to review what you have set up. Here you can view and/or change your Default sign-in method and/or add additional sign-in (authentication) methods. It’s encouraged to have multiple sign in methods.
Click the "+" symbol to Add sign in method.
Note: If you have already received your new phone/device and are not able to login to the mysignins page using one of your authentication methods, you will need to contact your building tech or you may call x5055. Please see the Tech Help section for instructions on contacting your building tech.
