Requirements

Get the Youth Service - Community Volunteer elective on your transcript by passing this course! Because you can take as long as you need to finish the course, it will go on your report card at the end of the semester in which you complete the requirements. You earn one-half credit the first two times you complete the course; after that, it goes on your report card as a non-credit course in youth service if you complete the requirements again.

EACH time you want the Youth Service Course recorded on your transcript, you must complete the following:

40 hours of volunteer service, documented through the InnerView™ platform. At the end of each semester, an application will be posted on the BHS Schoology page for students to complete.

One essay about your experience. This should describe what you did, what you learned, and how you felt about your volunteering. Essays should be typed, single-spaced and one page long. Write one essay when have completed at least 40 hours of volunteer service.

Deadlines: All submissions will be due no later than 3pm on the first day of finals. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS
