Coach Peter Feig - Head Boys Coach
Coach Feig has experiences coaching soccer, football, and track & field. His experience with soccer began at the middle school level for three years and has carried over to the high school for the past 5 years where he enjoys coaching the freshman team. Having never played football, he still thought it fun to dabble in coaching the defensive backs for one season in 2014. His time with track & field began in 2014 as the sprint and relays coach and it eventually developed into his role as head coach in 2017. In his free time (what little there is) he enjoys running, playing soccer, and spending time with his wife and three children (ages 4, 8, & 10).
Coach Jef Winterlin - Head Girls Coach
Coach Winterlin has been coaching Track and Field and Cross Country for 11 years. Coach Winterlin is an ELL Teacher at Burnsville High School and is no stranger to Track and Field. His coaching talent was first seen at Pound Middle School in Nebraska where he coached track and field for two seasons. He furthered his experience in Wichita, Kansas where he assisted with Cross Country and Track and Field at Wichita High School West. After two amazing seasons he moved up to Minneapolis to be near his 13 nephews and nieces and to teach at William Byrne Elementary. During this time, he took a position as a LifeTime Run Coach and enjoyed the challenge of coaching adult runners. Last year he coached sprints and high jump for the girl’s track program and this fall was an assistant girls’ cross country coach all at Burnsville High School. This season he looks forward to continue working with sprints, relays and possibly some high jump if he is lucky.
Winterlin LOVES to run around the lakes, stone arch, nine-mile creek and other gorgeous trails in the amazing Twin City area. He also has the worst taste in emo music.
