Coach Dylan Schroeder has been a staple in the St. Francis community for many years. As a student-athlete and 2014 graduate of St. Francis High School, he left his mark on both the football field and basketball court. An all-conference wide receiver for the Fighting Saints, Schroeder still has his name all over the football record books, and he played a major role for the 2013 football team - the first team to ever beat Cambridge-Isanti in football. On the basketball court, Schroeder was a member of one of the most successful teams to ever walk through the halls of SFHS. During his senior season, Schroeder helped the Saints basketball team achieve an overall record of 24-6, the most wins in a single season in St. Francis history, as well as a section championship and state tournament appearance - the first in 14 seasons.
After high school, Schroeder attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College to complete his generals. During this time, he got his feet wet in the coaching game by helping out at St. Francis Football Camps and assisting with Gameday Operations on Friday nights with the football team. After Anoka-Ramsey, Schroeder enrolled at St. Cloud State University where he earned his degree in Secondary Education. He also moved into a full-time coaching position within the football program on the freshman team.
After attaining his degree, Schroeder became a full-time staff member at St. Francis High School by joining the Language Arts department during the 2020 school year. He joined the Saints Basketball Staff the same year as the freshman coach, and was a key piece on the coaching staff that helped lead the team back to the state tournament during the 2022-23 season.
In his 5 years as a full-time staff member and coach in multiple programs at St. Francis High School, Schroeder has helped mold and shape the lives of many students throughout the community. He became the Varsity Football Offensive Coordinator during the 2023 season, and the Varsity-Assistant for the Basketball program during the 2025-26 season.
Dylan, his wife Rachel, and their daughter Jayla, reside in St. Francis.
