About Ms. Alger
Hi! I'm Christa Alger, and I teach 9th and 10th grade Lang and Lit at Fridley High School. This is my first year at FHS, and so far I'm learning a lot about this fantastic community and loving it! Some fast facts about me: I grew up in Wisconsin, earned a bachelors in literature and education at Beloit College, and then received my license from the U of M Twin Cities, where I'm currently working towards a masters in communication arts education.
As a teacher, I value my students' whole selves. My goal is to provide an education that fits each of their unique needs, and I do this by listening, centering student experiences, and being flexible without compromising the high bars we set for Fridley students to ensure they get a quality education.
I am always happy to talk to students and parents about school and life outside of it. I'm available between 7:15 AM and 4 PM via email, phone, and text for any questions and concerns!
