Cass Lake-Bena High School girls are invited to join the "You Have the Power" group that will start on October 8th. This group will meet every other Wednesday from October 8th until November 19th. Each session will be 2 hours long with the final session being 4 hours. The sessions will run from 9:30-11:30 with lunch being served by the leaders (Subway, Blender Box) following the session. The first three sessions will cover topics pertaining to emotions, healthy relationships, and signs of abuse. The two individuals who will lead these sessions are Emily Sargent, a clinical psychologist and White Earth member as well as Jackie Vogt, a retired chemical and alcohol counselor and now president of the Nevis Area Women's Club. The final session will be a self-defense training class with a female gym owner and coach from Fargo, Mariah Prussia.
If you are interested in being part of this group, please type your name and click submit. Lana Schultz, Jen Voge, or Alisha Hillukka will connect with you to give you more information about the group and will provide you with a permission slip for your parent/guardian to fill out to be returned.
