About Mrs. Bauer

Hello! This is my eighth year at Jonathan Elementary, and I couldn't be more excited to be here teaching 4th grade; the very best grade to teach! I am looking forward to a WONDERFUL, fun-filled year!

I grew up in Savage, MN and graduated from Prior Lake High School in 2008. After graduating from Winona State University in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I was hired at Lester Prairie School in Lester Prairie, MN (about 40 minutes west of Chaska).

During my time at Lester Prairie School, I taught a 3rd/4th grade multi-age class, a 4th/5th grade multi-age class, and a 3rd grade class. I was also the advisor for the after school Talented and Gifted program for grades 3-6 and the Future Problem Solving coach for grades 4-9. I was very fortunate to gain so much experience in the three years I was there.

Since coming to Jonathan, I graduated in 2016 from Concordia University - Saint Paul with my Master's degree in Education Technology. I am excited to continue to use this degree on a daily basis in our classroom by implementing new and effective technology tools into our day, and making good use of our Chromebooks! In May 2020, I graduated with a second Master's degree in Elementary Education through Minnesota State University - Mankato.

My husband, two sons, and I live in Belle Plaine, MN (about 30 minutes south of Chaska). I enjoy trying out new recipes, listening to music, watching movies, and being outside.
