Code of Conduct

By participating on the Chaska High School Girls Swim and Dive team, you agree to uphold our school's and team's code of conduct as laid out below.

Hazing and Bullying - Zero Tolerance

We have zero tolerance against hazing and bullying. If we suspect an athletes or athletes are conducting in hazing or bullying, we will address these in the steps listed here. If necessary, any hazing or bullying will be immediately escalated to the Athletics Director. 

Chemical and Substance Abuse - Zero Tolerance

There is zero tolerance when it comes to substance and chemical abuse while acting as a participating member of Chaska High School Swim and Dive. Substances and chemicals that are banned include but are not limited to tobacco, cigarrettes, vaping, marijuana, and alcohol. If a student-athlete is found to be using a banned substance, disciplinary action will be carried out as outlined in the student handbook and the Minnesota State High School League.

Injury Policy

Those who are injured, or have ongoing injuries will be asked to show they are working towards rehabilitating their injury. If athletes are not physically able to practice, we ask that they use that time to rehabilitate, or attend practice where they can support their teammates from the deck. Coaches can help direct athletes to the athletic trainer for assistance. If an athlete is regularly stopping in practice due to an injury and missing large amounts of the practice session, we ask that they be seen by an athletic trainer or medical professional to understand what might be going on. When an athlete is missing large amounts of practice due to an injury, it is concerning and we want to ensure no long term problems will occur.

Nutrition

Coaches are not monitoring what the athletes are eating, but highly recommend a nutritious balanced diet and drinking lots of water. It is beneficial to bring a nutritious snack with to swim meets to help stay fueled.

Social Media Policy

Social media should be used appropriately. Student-athletes understand that they represent their team and their high school when they post online on any platform.
