Kaylie Heno & Maddie Hauck earned a 2nd place finish at the 2022 International Career Development Conference. At the last minute, Maddie was unable to attend ICDC, so Kaylie reworked the presentation, and presented on her own! Their Career Development project focused on "Women in Business" and educated students on business careers, resume writing, and interview skills.
Andrew earned a 4th place finish in the Professional Selling Event. All competition in 2021 was virtual (recorded presentations) up until the Final Round at ICDC, which was Andrew's first "live" presentation of the year (over Zoom).
ICDC was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. These participants earned their spot to compete, but unfortunately did not get the opportunity.
Their "Unplugged" campaign earned a 1st place finish at ICDC. Their project focused on researching technology use among Chanhassen High School students and encouraging students to "Disconnect to Reconnect".
Their "Yellow Umbrella" campaign was the first Chanhassen DECA project to earn 1st place at ICDC. Their project challenged students to "Stop the Stigma" surrounding mental health at Chanhassen High School.
Isabelle qualified for ICDC two years in a row. In her final year of competition, she earned a spot in the finals in the Hospitality & Tourism Professional Selling Event.
These three worked with Quixotic - a coffee shop in St. Paul. They conducted multiple forms of research and developed strategies to enhance Quixotic's Social/Local/Mobile Marketing.
Once again, Sydney & Cal made the finalist stage with their "EPIC" Marketing 3 Entrepreneurship Promotion Project.
These three competed in the Learn & Earn Project. Their "Raising Hope" project included a swim meet to support Abbey's Hope Foundation.
Cal & Sydney worked with the local business, The Edge, to conduct research and ultimately recommend strategies to enhance employee engagement. They earned a 7th place finish at ICDC.
Quinn has the record at Chanhassen High School for the most appearances at ICDC. He competed 4 consecutive years and was a finalist in his role play event his Junior year.
Maddy was an ICDC finalist in her first year of DECA competition in her Principles of Hospitality role play event.
This was the first year of Chanhassen High School DECA. The Marketing 2 & Marketing 3 classes were combined with Chaska High School. This combined team took 3rd place at ICDC.
