Ms. Pierce is from the Minneapolis area and moved to Grand Rapids with her puppy named Gus. Ms. Pierce attended Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota for her degree in K-12 Instrumental and General Music Education. Ms. Pierce is working on her Masters in Music Education graduate degree through University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota with an emphasis in Orff Schulwerk. Ms. Pierce looks forward to earning certifications in both Orff Schulwerk and Kodaly (www.oake.org/about-us/the-kodaly-concept/) teaching methodologies, and continuing to improve upon Band and Choir teaching through continuous teacher-education opportunities.
