Big Future Scholarship
A) Must attend a public, private, or home school, located in one of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, or any other U.S. territories and possessions, or are U.S. Citizens or residents who attend a U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity (“DoDEA”) school outside of the United States and U.S. territories.

Be Bold Scholarship
The "Be Bold" Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship that will be awarded to the applicant with the boldest profile. It takes less than 2 minutes to apply.
To us, boldest does not mean "best", or "most accomplished". Being bold means being:
A) Earnest
B) Determined
C) Moving
The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose profile is most bold, according to these characteristics. Hagan Scholarship
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide recipients with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free. Applicants must attend a traditional public high school governed by a school district.
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2. Must attend a traditional public high school governed by a school district.
3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
4. Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation.
5. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college.
6. Must work 240 hours each year, from January 1 until commencement of the fall semester in college. Employment must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation.
7. Applicant’s Gross Household Income reported for 2021 Federal Income Tax Purposes must have been less than $85,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total gross income received by all members of a household living under the same roof.
8. Must provide the first five (5) pages of the FAFSA SAR, the EFC must be shown on the first page.
9. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.
10. Must not have a felony conviction.
The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high-achieving goal-driven student having a financial need in order to attend college.

Science Ambassador Scholarship
$40,000- 1 award given. In order to be eligible a student must:
1)Be a high school senior of an undergraduate student.
2)Be a woman attending a school in the United States.

Power of Resilience Scholarship
$1,000-1 award given. In order to be eligible, a student must:
1)Be in either high school or college and must show good academic standing with a GPA of at least 3.0.
2)Submit an essay discussing a serious life challenge you encountered and how you overcame that challenge.

Alworth Scholarship: $24,000 over four years for students from NE Minnesota going into math, science, engineering and medical fields. Must be pursuing a 4 year (bachelors) degree. Must have a 25 or higher ACT score and a 3.5 or higher GPA.

American Quarter Horse Association Scholarships
$35,000- 50 awards given. In order to be eligible, a student must:
A) Be a current AQHYA or AQHA member.
B) Be in high school, college, or university, depending on which scholarship you are applying for.

Dewalt Trades Scholarship: Stanley Black & Decker has established the DEWALT Trades Scholarship to assist individuals attending a two-year college or vocational-technical school who are pursuing a trade degree/certificate in an industry aligned with the Stanley Black & Decker Trade Goals – including but are not limited to Construction, Industrial, Motor/Power Sector, Mechanics, and Technology. MN JCI Senate Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all MN High School Seniors. There are 3 $600 scholarships with one of those being specifically for a vocational student. One of the requirements is a GPA of 3.7 or higher. The winners from MN get moved on to our National organization US JCI Senate for a chance at $1500 scholarships for students who plan to at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships
Each year, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) illuminates our legacy by awarding multiple scholarships to students dedicated to higher education. These scholarships support a wide range of fields, including business, chemistry, economics, English, elementary and secondary education, history, historic preservation, horticulture, law, math, medicine, natural science, nursing, and political science. By investing in the next generation of leaders and scholars, DAR ensures that the values of education, historic preservation, and patriotism continue to shine brightly for years to come. Scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants regardless of race religion, or sex. All applicants must be United States citizens. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the United States. The only exception is the American Indian Scholarship that is available for students pursuing vocational training. See page below for more information.

Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship
$50,000-9 awards given. In order to be eligible, a student must:
1) Be a graduating high school senior who plans to enroll as a full-time first year student in pursuit of a four-year bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States.
2) Have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and rank in the top 20% of their class.

Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship: Alpha Kappa Psi is a professional, co-ed business fraternity that has been at the University of Minnesota for more than 100 years. These scholarships can have a life-changing impact on students who have demonstrated leadership, extra-curricular involvement, and strong academic performance. There are 20 $2,000 scholarships to be given to students in areas that MDI serves. In order to be eligible, students must have an IEP/504 or be entering the field of Social Service, Mental Health, Special Education, Physical Therapy or Speech Therapy. To apply visit www.gracf.org

Allina Health Orthopedics Sports Medicine Scholarships
Allina Health Orthopedics is proud to continue its effort to advance sports medicine and orthopedic care throughout Minnesota with the 16th Annual Allina Health Orthopedics Sports Medicine scholarship for student athletes. We are excited to continue offering this award as exemplification of our commitment to provide unsurpassed patient care and community education. 2-$2,500 scholarships will be awarded annually to one female and one male student athlete who intends to attend college to pursue a career in sports medicine. Eligibility - Essentia Health – Future in Healthcare Scholarship
Students who are majoring in Healthcare with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. The student will take the eligibility quiz and if they meet the criteria, they will then see the application to complete.
Horatio Alger Association: Eligibility criteria includes: high school graduation, demonstrates critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross income) and exhibits integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity, minimum GPA of 2.0

Children of Warriors National Scholarship
$5,000-15 awards given. In order to be eligible, a student must:
1)Be daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, or great-grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces.

Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
$500- 2 awards given. In order to be eligible a student must:
Have been applied and accepted to a four-year college or university with plans to attain a B.A or B.S.
In two pages or less, discuss the future needs of the area and how the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce can address those needs.
OR
Be pursuing a two-year degree or certification in a vocational/technical industry needed locally.
Provide a summary of how your field of intended study may be used to contribute to the growth of this community.

Riverwood Healthcare Center Medical Lab Technician or Surgical Technologist Scholarship
Riverwood Healthcare Center provides annual scholarship awards to eligible high school students in the Aitkin County community who wish to pursue a degree in health care. Our hope is that in the future, students will return to work in the communities we serve. In 2023, applications are open to students wishing to pursue a career in medical laboratory technician and/or surgical technologist. This scholarship is open to students, without respect to race, creed, national origin or any other legally protected class.
In order to be eligible, a student must:
Be a graduating high school senior at any Aitkin County High School.
Be pursuing a Medical Laboratory Technician or Surgical Technologist AAS degree.

Military Connected Scholarship
The Grand Rapids Yellow Ribbon Citizens Committee is dedicated to supporting military members, veterans, and their families in our community. This nonprofit program serves as a liaison between our Yellow Ribbon community and the military to ensure awareness and support for all service members does not end when they return home from deployment and the yellow ribbons are untied. This opportunity for a $1,000 scholarship is made possible by private and local business donations to assist a military family in pursuing a post-secondary education.
To be eligible, a student must:
• Must be a direct dependent of a currently serving service member or veteran
• Must have a minimum 2.3 GPA (C+)
• Must be accepted to a post-secondary school
• Preference is given to Itasca County graduates and Itasca County residents
• Must provide an essay responding to three questions:
1. Tell us about your service member. We’re interested in knowing details like when and
why they joined the military, what military jobs and duty stations they held, and any
special trainings or honors they received. Feel free to share a story or memory.
2. What did you learn from growing up in a military family and how did it mold you into the
person you are today? Tell us what makes you proud of your service member and what
traits you learned from them.
3. List specific ways this scholarship award would impact you and/or your family and help in
achieving your academic goals.

With increasing labor shortages, jobs in the construction trades are in high demand. Itasca Lodge #208 Scholarship
Itasca Lodge #208 A.F. & A.M. is pleased to announce that we, along with Minnesota Masonic Charities, will be returning to awarding two scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each. Loren Brown Memorial Student/Athlete Scholarship
Mr. Brown loved Hill City High School and Hill City students. After a field trip
or game, he often commented that Hill City students were well-behaved and
well-mannered, and that he enjoyed working with them. He believed in the
concept of academics and athletics working together, and that participation in
extra-curricular activities enhanced the high school experience. Post-
secondary education was also important to him. He was very proud of the Hill
City students who went on to college or technical school. For this reason, we
want him to be honored and remembered by this scholarship each year.
Student athletes are encouraged to apply for this scholarship to honor Mr. Brown.

Graybar Construction Trades Scholarship
$1,000- 50 awards given. In order to be eligible a student must:
Be a graduating high school senior, have graduated high school or have earned a high school equivalency diploma (GED, HiSET, TASC)
Plan to enroll full time in a nonprofit community college, technical school, trade school, vocational school or apprenticeship program in the United States of America
Intend to complete an associate degree, pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship, or certificate program leading to work in the construction trades (such as carpentry, construction management, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, sheet metal, welding, telcom, etc.)
Have achieved a minimum grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, 456 on the GED, or 60 on the HiSET (at least an 8 on each subtest) or equivalent scores on a state-sanctioned test

Minnesota Association of Townships Scholarship
The Minnesota Association of Townships is proud to announce its 2024 Scholarship Program, which awards up to five $2,000 scholarships to high school juniors. All students currently enrolled in 11th grade and attending a MN public, private, or parochial high school, or a home-study program, are eligible for this program. The Lariat Future Innovators Foundation
The Lariat STEM Scholarship is designed to empower students aged 18-24 who are pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math. The financial assistance provided is ongoing and substantial $6,000 as a freshman, $6,000 as a sophomore, $8,000 as a junior, and $10,000 as a senior.
