UCHRONIA LITTERATURE :
Format 15 x 23 cm – 244 pages
After seven years in the New World, the Imperial Pacifier Arthorius returns to Rome with, in his luggage, a very embarrassing package: a strange feather that discredits one of the major figures of the Roman Empire Millennium: The Goddess Athena herself.
Arthorius finds himself immersed, in spite of himself, in the center of the Olympian intrigues in an investigation that will lead him to the Frontier, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
Throughout his journey nothing will be spared, neither the chase with the gangs of Neo Rhodes, nor the shootings with the Indian tribes, not even the company of Dom, a veteran wildlife of the legion, adept of excessive sarcasm.
Europe, late 18th century.
The eruption of the Icelandic volcano Laki in 1783 plunges the world into darkness and obscurantism. The cloud of sulfur that covers a part of Europe devastates crops, causes famine, brings down the powers in place, and puts into perspective all established beliefs.
Many see in it the trace of a supernatural punishment, which everyone refers to as the Scourge.
The Church falters all the more as the eruption of Laki reveals the existence of a buried city, Absyrialle. But this city, its architecture, its wealth, its manners and its occupants are not the vestiges of an ancient and forgotten civilization.
On the contrary, Absyrialle is all powerful and its origins remain mysterious, just like the designs of the demon princes that are worshipped there.
Théodule, a public writer and philosopher, has no idea how much his encounter with Galoire de Montbrun, sent from the Vatican to the troubled past, will take him to the heart of the city’s darkest plots.
