In BookOjciec we want to show that everyone has the right to their own feelings, that children are not the property of their parents and guardians, but separate individuals. We point out that everyone feels different emotions, and that children, by virtue of being younger, do not always understand the world as adults do. That is why we also try to show the world from the children's perspective.
The publishing house offers books that explain the children's world, show diversity and sensitivity. They are designed for parents and carers looking for a platform of understanding and, above all, valuable suggestions for their children.
Our agency aims to help negotiate translation operating licenses internationally.
We are currently offering our services for France, England, Poland and Germany although this list is non-exhaustive and we could offer our services to many more countries.
A real opportunity for publishing houses wishing to resell the rights of a book or to buy the rights of the next bestselling publication that is strong on the international market.

Description :
Do you remember what it was like when we were still children? When every day, our heads were full of dreams? When we believed that each of those dreams was within reach? For me, these are some of the most beautiful childhood memories to which I return.
But are dreams only good for children? Or is there a chance that they could play a role in our later life too? And do these dreams have any connection to that mythical "happiness" that everyone longs for so much? These were, for a very long time, some of the most important questions I asked myself in life.
This tale embodies my feelings and reflections on this topic, which I want to share with all children (and not just them!), especially my own. While writing it, I dreamed of reigniting children's belief in dreams and ensuring that it doesn’t fade so irreversibly when we enter adulthood.
Read the opinions of the first readers:
Kamil Nowak's book made me dream of returning to the times when I myself was a child, and not just because I didn’t have to pay taxes and rent back then. I simply wish that someone had read it to me then and shown that little Janina with her unevenly cut bangs what really matters — that the bangs will eventually straighten out, but the wonderfully childlike thinking in loops, zigzags, and dreams should never fade.
Janina Bąk, author of the bestseller "Statistically Speaking, or How Much Chocolate You Need to Eat to Win a Nobel Prize"
I love stories that have two equally valuable layers. One explains the world around the child, and the other reminds the parent what is truly important in that world. And even if you return to the story several times, each time you feel the same pleasure. You also cannot overlook the wonderful, multi-layered illustrations.
Ewa Drzyzga, multiple award-winning Polish journalist
We all need dreams. And this is a story about why they are worth having. Dreams are nothing less than the desire for a better world.
Konrad Kruczkowski, multiple award-winning Polish blogger, journalist, and reporter
The entire work was illustrated by the incredibly talented Ania Przybyłko.

A few words from the authors...
Mindfulness, is the ability to be here and now, and to pay attention to what is happening, but without judging. Which, of course, is not the easiest task for our mind, so it is worth training the mind to be in the present moment as often as possible.
Children feel a lot of stress about kindergarten, school, the future, their peers, they worry about how they look, they feel fears and anxieties, they have a lot of stimuli at every turn that overload them. As adults, we start to recognise these difficulties, but we don't know how to help children.
Often we notice children and their problems too late, we react when symptoms appear: aggressive/auto-aggressive behaviour, bullying, violence or complete withdrawal from life, depression, phobias, suicidal thoughts/attempts.
We considered how to help children and adults to build attentive and kind environments in unison, based on values. To support each other.
And so the project was born: Mindfulness in Education. Cosmos and Kajo.
We know that it is a drop in the sea of needs, but we are happy to be that drop. We want every child to have the chance to gain knowledge not only about how to operate a microscope or a computer programme. We want them to have the chance to gain knowledge and skills:
HOW TO DEAL WITH DIFFICULT EMOTIONS AND STRESS,
WHAT TO DO TO CALM YOUR THOUGHTS AND FEEL SAFE,
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES SO THEY CAN BE KIND TO THEMSELVES AND OTHERS.
This will give them the chance to become healthy, compassionate adults, and this will bring about another beautiful change in the world and society. If you feel like becoming these world-changing droplets, we invite you to join us.
Jowita and Kasia

Description:
Why is there so much aggression in children? Whose fault is it? The children, the parents, or perhaps the games and stories? How can adults deal with it? And can aggression be a good thing?
This book will help you understand the origins of some of the most difficult childhood behaviours. It will change your view of 'aggressive children' once and for all and help you to be a real support for them.
Aggression is not the same as violence. It is a natural and very necessary force for life. It helps you to be assertive and independent. It is within each of us and cannot be removed, although many would probably like to. However, if we don't understand it, we won't read its true message, and by suppressing and pushing it out of our lives we will hurt ourselves.

"You don't have to be good, or fairy tales that bring relief" is a collection of stories that takes us back to childhood, where the adult we like and respect relates to us with a unique sincerity. He sits across from us, making us realise that there is no need to eat everything off the plate, endure unwanted kisses or keep up appearances. We can feel angry or express our anger without punishment when something bothers us. Drawings don't have to be perfect and grades at school don't define our worth. Most importantly - we don't have to be perfect to be loved by our parents. Isn't this the beginning of relief and release?
This book, intended for children, is designed to support development by showing that parental love is unconditional, even though it is sometimes difficult to express. Sometimes adults are led by their own expectations and children try to live up to the demands in order to deserve love.
The most important idea that runs through this book is the child's dignity and humanity. By believing that the child is a full human being with the right to respect, we give him the tool to trust himself and learn about himself. This allows him to grow into a person who respects himself, can take care of himself and give himself support in difficult times. And this in turn fosters healthy relationships and the development of empathy.
This book makes you think about how wonderful it would be to raise children who do not have to depend on the constant search for recognition. It offers the chance to equip children with inner peace, which is a remarkable gift nowadays.

If, until now, children's poetry has brought to mind a moralizing tone and an outdated approach to education, "Importance: Rhymes to Boost Self-Confidence" aims to change that.
The book touches on topics such as:
nurturing passions
sharing with others
differences between people
assertiveness
food
friendship
building relationships with others
...everything that interests children and keeps us – parents, caregivers, and teachers – up at night.
"Importance: Rhymes to Boost Self-Confidence" is designed not only for reading at home but also as an excellent addition to activities led by teachers and caregivers in toddler clubs, nurseries, preschools, and even in the youngest classes of elementary school. The entire book is accompanied by colorful illustrations by Paulina Dybała.
Each poem by Patrycja Dzierkacz is accompanied by a commentary directed at both parents/caregivers, offering specific suggestions for engaging children in the topic of the poem, as well as ideas for teachers on how to incorporate the poems into lesson themes. The tasks are tailored to suit both younger children (age 3) and older ones (age 6). Additionally, the psychological commentary was supervised to ensure its quality and relevance.
