Since the outbreak of this pandemic, there has been a much higher level of anxiety in children and adults alike. This may manifest itself in many ways and you may have witnessed this in your family.
We have a dedicated team of experienced and qualified professionals who will be taking care of all the social and emotional needs of our children.
The first port of call of any concerns or issues arising is always the homeroom or classroom teacher. If you have any concern or would like to communicate anything about your child, you can reach out to them at any time.
Our Student Support Services Department, under the leadership of Mrs Natasha Kane. The Team consists of:
Our full time Medical Doctor: Dr Lilly
Our full time counselors: Ms. Bernal and Ms. Hafner
A team of Learning Support specialists as well as a team of EAL specialists
They will be working closely with all our teachers to support the additional needs of any of our students (and adults)
If you have a particular concern about your child, please do not hesitate to contact either your homeroom or classroom teacher, or any of the team above.
Throughout the pandemic, there has been an increased level of anxiety within our local community and globally. We understand that some of our students may be feeling particularly anxious. Please rest assured that teachers and staff will be monitoring the social and emotional well-being of students throughout the year.
At ISB we encourage our school community to participate in a personal wellness program. Self-care is a critical piece to wellness in which we participate by making healthy lifestyle choices which contribute to mental and physical health and overall well-being.
We have a myriad of useful resources on well-being.
