This award was created by members of the ISB Alumni Community to recognise the dedication and professionalism of ISB teachers, and was named after James Sidgwick, who served as Deputy Headmaster (1956-69) as well as Headmaster of the Elementary School (1969-88).
Each year, a recipient is selected from a different division or section of the school.
