ATTN: 8th Graders - H.S Applications deadline extended to December 14th! Please submit online or by paper to Mr. Gellard by that date.
Parent Teacher Conferences are Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 12:20 PM -2:20 PM and 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM. This will be a 1/2 day for students with dismissal at 11:07 AM. Report Cards will be distributed to students prior to dismissal.
High School Application Information will be distributed to 8th graders on Monday November 19th. Please check with your child for this important information. You can submit a paper or online application. If you complete the application online, please let the Guidance Counselor know and provide a confirmation # if you receive one.
School Closed on Monday Nov. 12th in observance of Veteran's Day.
ALL parents are invited to attend one of our high school application process workshops. They are held every Tuesday from 9-10 AM and every Wednesday from 6-7 PM until Tuesday Dec. 11th. See the letter that was sent home for more details.

SPECIALIZED HIGH SCHOOL EXAM INFORMATION
All 8th grade general education students (no ELL, no special education, no IEP, no 504 plans) who are interested in taking the Specialized High School Entrance Exam may report to Long Island City High School on October 20 or 21st at 8 A.M. with their IS 230 student ID.
All 8th grade ELL, special education, IEP, 504 plan students who are interested in taking the Specialized High School Entrance Exam may report to Long Island City High School on November 3rd or 18th at 8 A.M. with their IS 230 student ID.
